Hey! How's it going? I hope you all are doing good! Sorry I haven't posted in a while, I've been super busy, but I am backkkkkkkkkkkkkkkkk! 👏😎

So some of you may not know, but I am a bit of a book nerd.🤓So here is my list of book recommendation's (in category, as well as the name of the author, because NERD POWER)! Let's get started!

ROMANCE BOOKS
Listen to your heart-Kasie West
Talking to other people isn't Kate Bailey's favorite activity. She'd much rather be out on the lake, soaking up the solitude and sunshine. So when her best friend, Alana, convinces Kate to join their high school's podcast, Kate is not expecting to be chosen as the host. Now she'll have to answer calls and give advice on the air? Impossible.

But to Kate's surprise, she turns out to be pretty good at the hosting gig. Then the podcast gets in a call from an anonymous guy, asking for advice about his unnamed crush. Kate is pretty sure that the caller is gorgeous Diego Martinez, and even surer that the girl in question is Alana. Kate is excited for her friend ... until Kate herself starts to develop feelings for Diego. Suddenly, Kate finds that while doling out wisdom to others may be easy, asking for help is tougher than it looks, and following your own advice is even harder.

Kasie West's adorable story of secrets, love, and friendship is sure to win over hearts everywhere.

My Review:
8/10 It is a young adult (YA) book, but it is a very clean romance/YA book, and from what I remember, their are not any curse words in it.

The Selection-Series-Kiera Cass

Then America meets Prince Maxon. Gradually, she starts to question all the plans she's made for herself—and realizes that the life she's always dreamed of may not compare to a future she never imagined.

My Review:
100/10 Probably my favorite on this list. It does get a little intense in book 3 but it is still so so good. My mom was the one who suggested I read them, and I am glad I listened to her. For the most part, it is a clean YA book.

MYSTERY BOOKS
The Lost Girl of Astor Street-Stephanie Morrill
Lydia has vanished. Lydia, who’s never broken any rules, except falling in love with the wrong boy. Lydia, who’s been Piper’s best friend since they were children. Lydia, who never even said good-bye. Convinced the police are looking in all the wrong places, eighteen-year-old Piper Sail begins her own investigation to solve the mystery of Lydia’s disappearance. With the reluctant help of a handsome young detective, Piper goes searching for answers in the dark underbelly of 1924 Chicago, determined to find Lydia at any cost. When Piper discovers those answers might stem from the corruption strangling the city—and quite possibly lead back to the doors of her affluent neighborhood—she must decide how deep she’s willing to dig, how much she should reveal, and if she’s willing to risk her life for the truth.

My Review:
10/10 This book has a little bit of everything, a little drama, a little action, and a little romance. And while it is a Mystery, it is not very intense, but also is exciting enough to keep you reading till the end. I highly recommend it. A Clean YA book.

SAD BOOKS
The House at 758-Kathryn Berla
Sixteen year old Krista is still grieving the untimely death of her mother when her father's new girlfriend moves into their home. He's already moved on and wants Krista to do the same, but she's not ready to resume a normal life yet. Distancing herself from those around her, Krista spends all of her time obsessively watching a mysterious house, the house at 758.

When a fellow classmate, Jake, takes a sudden interest in her, Krista feels excited for the first time in two years, but feelings of guilt consume her, and she ends up pushing Jake away. It isn't until her grandfather makes a surprise visit from Venezuela that Krista is finally able to confront her grief and begin to let things go.

My Review:
10/10 I know, it seems like it should be in the romance category. Yes, it does have romance in it, but once you get towards the end of the book, you will see why it is in the sad category, theirs also a plot twist that is not mentioned in the overview. BRING YOUR TISSUES!
 Also a clean YA book.

SUSPENSEFUL BOOKS

I Survived-Series-Lauren Tarshis
This series is about actual real life events that have happened but, in each book with each event, has the point of view of a fictional character. So its non-fiction and fiction wrapped up into one. 10/10 recommend. Here is one of my favorites:

The Great Chicago Fire, 1871

(I Survived #11)

Could an entire city really burn to the ground?

Oscar Starling never wanted to come to Chicago. But then Oscar finds himself not just in the heart of the big city, but in the middle of a terrible fire! No one knows exactly how it began, but one thing is clear: Chicago is like a giant powder keg about to explode. An army of firemen is trying to help, but this fire is a ferocious beast that wants to devour everything in its path, including Oscar! Will Oscar survive one of the most famous and devastating fires in history? Lauren Tarshis brings history's most exciting and terrifying events to life in this New York Times-bestselling series. Readers will be transported by stories of amazing kids and how they survived!

Trapped-Michael Northrop
The day the blizzard started, no one knew that it was going to keep snowing for a week. That for those in its path, it would become not just a matter of keeping warm, but of staying alive. . . .
Scotty and his friends Pete and Jason are among the last seven kids at their high school waiting to get picked up that day, and they soon realize that no one is coming for them. Still, it doesn't seem so bad to spend the night at school, especially when distractingly hot Krista and Julie are sleeping just down the hall. But then the power goes out, then the heat. The pipes freeze, and the roof shudders. As the days add up, the snow piles higher, and the empty halls grow colder and darker, the mounting pressure forces a devastating decision. . . .

My Review:
7/10 I rate it a 7 because it does get a little boring and drags on a bit, and I really hated how the book ended, BUT it is still in general, a good clean YA book.

NON YA BOOKS
(YA stands for young adult)
The Secret Garden-I could not find the EXACT author, but look it up and you'll find it
The plot centers round Mary Lennox, a young English girl who returns to England from India, having suffered the immense trauma by losing both her parents in a cholera epidemic. However, her memories of her parents are not pleasant, as they were a selfish, neglectful and pleasure-seeking couple. Mary is given to the care of her uncle Archibald Craven, whom she has never met. She travels to his home, Misselthwaite Manor located in the gloomy Yorkshire, a vast change from the sunny and warm climate she was used to. When she arrives, she is a rude, stubborn and given to stormy temper tantrums. However, her nature undergoes a gradual transformation when she learns of the tragedies that have befallen her strict and disciplinarian uncle whom she earlier feared and despised. Once when he's away from home, Mary discovers a charming walled garden which is always kept locked. The mystery deepens when she hears sounds of sobbing from somewhere within her uncle's vast mansion. The kindly servants ignore her queries or pretend they haven't heard, spiking Mary's curiosity.

Dork Diaries-Series-Rachel Renee Russell

Tales from a Not-So-Fabulous Life

(Dork Diaries #1)

It’s Diary of a Wimpy Kid for girls in this hilarious novel!

Meet Nikki Maxwell! She's starting eighth grade at a new school—and her very first diary packed with hilarious stories and art in Book One of the #1 New York Times bestselling Dork Diaries series!

New school. New mean girl. New crush. New diary so I can spill about all of it…
I put a lot of really personal stuff in this diary along with my sketches and doodles.
But, mostly it’s about how TRAUMATIC it was transferring to my new private middle school, Westchester Country Day.
And, how a lot of the CCP (Cool, Cute & Popular) kids were really SNOBBY and made my life TOTALLY miserable. People like, oh, I don’t know, maybe…
MACKENZIE HOLLISTER!!
And, it just so happened that I got stuck with a locker right next to hers. I could NOT believe I had such CRAPPY luck. I knew right then and there it was going to be a VERY, VERY long school year :-( !

My Review:
9/10 Their super cheesy, but that is why I like them.

My Review:
9/10 Also INCREDIBLE cheesy but cute all the same. It is basically the story of Princess and The Pea.
